- Never leave unattended
- Keep away from flammable items, children, and pets
- Always remove your candle from packaging
- Trim wick to 1/4 inch before each use
- Keep wax pool free of debris (like wick trimmings and matches)
- Always burn candles in/on a holder specifically designed for candle use - flat, heat-resistant surface, large enough to contain drips
- Avoid drafts and excessive vibrations
- Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time (unless shorter burn time is recommended)
- Discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains
- Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts before re-lighting
- Extinguish properly with snuffer, wick dipper, or gentle blow
- Never use water to extinguish a candle
